In order to keep the Indian exporters informed of the rejections faced by Indian products in the EU and to take preventive actions. FIEO is forwarding the Rapid Alert Systems for Food and Feed (RASFF) and for Non-Food Consumer Products (RAPEX) alerts on a weekly basis.

The alerts from EU generated during 18^th - 24^th April 2023 are as under:

1. Poland: Salmonella spp. found in dried dog chews from India

Risk: Serious
Notification type: Feed - Information notification for attention - Border control - consignment released
Action Taken: Informing authorities
Date: 21-04-2023

2. Croatia: Pesticide residues found in basmati rice from India

Risk: Potential risk
Notification type: Food - Border rejection notification - Border control - consignment detained
Action Taken: Return to consignor
Date: 21-04-2023

3. Switzerland: Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons PAHs found in ginger powder from India

Risk: Serious
Notification type: Food - Information notification for attention - Official control on the market
Action Taken: Monitoring of the recall/withdrawal
