Dear Madam/Sir,

In order to keep the Indian exporters informed of the rejections faced by Indian products in the EU and to take preventive actions. FIEO is forwarding the Rapid Alert Systems for Food and Feed (RASFF) and for Non-Food Consumer Products (RAPEX) alerts on a weekly basis.

The alerts from EU generated during 4^th - 10^th January 2023 are as under:

1. Finland: Excess ochratoxin A and unauthorised substance ethylene oxide found in grounded nutmeg from India

Risk: Serious
Notification type: Food - Border rejection notification - Border control - consignment detained
Action Taken: Product (to be) redispatched or destroyed
Date: 09-01-2022

2. Belgium: Dioxins found in soy protein hydrolysate for feed from India

Risk: Not serious
Notification type: Food - Information notification for attention - Company's own check
Action Taken: Official detention
Date: 06-01-2022
