In order to keep the Indian exporters informed of the rejections faced by Indian products in the EU and to take preventive actions FIEO is forwarding the Rapid Alert Systems for Food and Feed (RASFF) and for Non-Food Consumer Products (RAPEX) alerts on a weekly basis.
 
The alerts from EU generated during 21st - 27th June 2022 are as under:
 
1. Alert: Belgium has withdrawn Indian origin Children’s dress from market to avoid strangulation and/or injuries

Description: Yellow and white striped dress with yellow, red and white woven belt. Product sold online. There are long functional cords in the waist area which can become trapped during children's normal activities, causing strangulation and/or injuries. The product does not comply with the requirements of the General Product Safety Directive nor with the European standard EN 14682.
