In order to keep the Indian exporters informed of the rejections faced by Indian products in the EU and to take preventive actions FIEO is forwarding the Rapid Alert Systems for Food and Feed (RASFF) and for Non-Food Consumer Products (RAPEX) alerts on a weekly basis.

The alerts from EU generated during 03^rd - 09^th August 2021 are as under:

1. Alert: Dog Lead manufactured in India recall due to containing excessive amount of chromium VI (measured value: 8.2 mg/kg).

A Dog lead of leather contains an excessive amount of chromium VI (measured value: 8.2 mg/kg). Chromium (VI) is sensitising, can trigger allergic reactions and can cause cancer.The product does not comply with REACH Regulation. Measures ordered by economic operators (to: Importer): Recall of the product from end users
