Uganda - Publishes standards on following products
· DUS DEAS 1060:2021, Canned vegetables-Standard applies to canned vegetables for direct consumption, including for catering purposes or for repackaging if required. It does not apply to the product when indicated as being intended for further processing. This Standard does not cover vegetables that are lacto-fermented, pickled or preserved in vinegar. · DUS DEAS 1061:2021, Canned fruit cocktail- Standard prescribes the requirements, sampling and test methods for canned fruit cocktail (peach, pineapple, grapes, pears, cherries) intended for direct human consumption. · DUS DEAS 1062:2021, Pumpkin pulp flour- Standard specifies the requirements, sampling and test methods for pumpkin pulp flour intended for human consumption or for other use in the food industry. · Two-pack epoxy primer- Standard specifies requirements, sampling and test methods for a two- pack epoxy solvent-based primer used for protection of iron, steel and galvanized iron and steel against atmospheric corrosion in an industrial or marine environment · Two-pack epoxy zinc phosphate weldable primer- Standard specifies requirements, methods of sampling and test for two-pack epoxy zinc phosphate weldable primer. This material is used as a base coat for the painting of steel structures /equipment where corrosion protection and chemical resistance under marine atmospheric conditions are required. · Etch primers (Single pack and two-pack)- Specifies the requirements, sampling and test methods, for single pack and two-pack etch primers intended for pre-treating metal surfaces to improve the adhesion of paint system applied to them. · Black bituminous paints for cold application- Standard specifies requirements, methods of sampling and test for black bitumen solutions, without pigments or fillers, for cold application, which will yield by brushing, spraying or a suitable dipping process, effective coatings for protection of substrates. · Water based undercoat- Standard specifies requirements, sampling and test methods for water-based undercoat used on buildings after surface preparation and priming wherever necessary.
