In order to keep the Indian exporters informed of the rejections faced by Indian products in the EU and to take preventive actions FIEO is forwarding the Rapid Alert Systems for Food and Feed (RASFF) and for Non-Food Consumer Products (RAPEX) alerts on a weekly basis.

The alert from EU generated during 13th – 19th August 2019 are as under:

Alert: Passenger care recalled due to problem in Battery Monitoring System (BMS)

Passenger car KA, Figo (Ford) exported from India was recalled from consumer. The Battery Monitoring System (BMS) may not be fused, due to an incorrectly routed wire to the vehicle's battery. This could lead to a pinch condition under the battery metal bracket, resulting in a short circuit and increased risk of fire.
