- The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) published following:
- Notification No. 53/2015-2020 dated 10 January, 2019 (Click Here) - Para 4.14 of 2015-20 is amended to remove pre-import condition to avail exemption from Integrated Tax and Compensation Cess. Exemption from Integrated Tax and Compensation Cess is also extended to deemed supplies.
- Notification No. 54/2015-2020 dated 15 January, 2019 (Click Here) - Vide Appendix - V to ITC (HS) 2017, Schedule-I (Import Policy), 207 items are notified as Technical Textiles.
- Notification No. 55/2015-2020 dated 15 January, 2019 (Click Here) - Till now, import of Nicotinic Acid & Nicotinamide (Niacinamide/ niacin) was 'Free' subject to No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Narcotics Commissioner, Gwalior, before import of the item. For import of Nicotinic Acid & Nicotinamide (Niacinamide/ niacin), this Policy Condition is being removed with immediate effect.
- Public Notice No. 69/2015-2020 dated 10 January, 2019 (Click Here) - Quantities of import item at SI. No. 1 have been rationalised for different categories of exports of Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers.

- The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) published following:
- Notification No. 1/2019-Central Tax dated 15 January, 2019 (Click Here) makes the following amendment in Notification No. 48/2017-Central Tax , which notifies certain supplies as deemed export u/s 147 of the CGST Act, 2017 by inserting a proviso clause to submit a certificate within 6 month to jurisdictional commissioner, duly attested by a CA, if input tax credit on input is used in the manufacture and supply of goods which was exported. Further the definition and meaning of “Advance Authorization” is amended by omitting the word Pre-import basis.
- Notification No. 04/2019-CUSTOMS (N.T.) dated 15 January, 2019 (Click Here) regarding tariff notification in respect of fixation of Tariff Value of Edible Oils, Brass Scrap, Poppy Seeds, Areca Nut, Gold and Silver.
- Notification no 03/2019-Cus (NT) dated 11 January, 2019 (Click Here) notified rate of exchange of one unit of foreign currency equivalent to Indian rupees.
- The Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) published Letter dated 14 January, 2019 (Click Here) related to Rectifiable labeling information for imported Alcoholic Beverages consignments.
- India Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare published following dated 9 January, 2019:
- Pakistan Ministry of Commerce and Textile published S.R.O 52-1-2019 dated 15 January, 2018 (Click Here) to amend Import Policy Order, 2016 which pertains to all vehicles in new/used condition.
- Malaysia Ministry of Health published Food (Amendment) Regulations, 2019 dated 11 January, 2019 (Click Here) to amend regulation for Spirits.
- Chile Ministry of Energy recently issued the Resolution No 40 (Click Here) to request mandatory certification of Circuit Breakers for Household Use sold in Chile.
- Brazil Inmetro (National Institute of Technology, Normalisation and Industrial Quality) published the Inmetro Decree No. 598/2018 dated 02 January, 2019 (Click Here) suspending the entry into force of the latest mandatory technical and conformity assessment requirements for toys according to Inmetro Decree No. 563/2016, which were originally issued on 30 December, 2016.
- Brazil Ministry of Labour published the recently Decree No 1082 (Click Here) with changes in the NR-13 regulation for Pressure Equipment (Steam Boilers, Pressure Vessels, Piping and Metallic Storage Tanks).
- European Union (EU) published following:
- Regulation (EU) 2019/50 dated 14 January, 2019 (Click Here) amending MRLs for chlorantraniliprole, clomazone, cyclaniliprole, fenazaquin, fenpicoxamid, fluoxastrobin, lambda-cyhalothrin, mepiquat, onion oil, thiacloprid, and valifenalate.
