China reduces MFN tariff of 247 tariff lines
China has reduced the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) tariff on 247 tariff lines (10 digit level) in 2021 vis-à-vis 2020.
China’s imports of these 247 tariff lines from world reached USD 95110 mn in 2019 from USD 84309 mn in 2017 registering CAGR of 4%. China’s imports of these tariff lines from India also registered a growth of CAGR 31%, from USD 262 mn in 2017 to USD 583 mn in 2019.
The tariff lines where MFN has been reduced include chemical, machinery and mechanical appliance, electrical machinery and equipment, optical, photographic, cinematographic, measuring, checking, precision, medical or surgical instruments and apparatus etc. (Detailed list of tariff lines is attached.
