The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq, commercial Attaché Office presents its compliments and hereby informs that Import License (اجازة استيراد) from the Ministry of Trade Baghdad Iraq is mandatory for all consignments except government procurement w.e.f. 17^thDecember-2020. No document (Certificate of Origin and Invoice) will be attested without Import License except government procurement from 17^th December-2020. There is an exemption to some industrial companies which has been already registered in the ministry of industry under the law of industrial investment , so these companies as per this law are exempted to get import licence , that is why it is not required for them to submit the import licences but they are kindly requested to submit documents proven that they are already registered in the ministry of industry in Iraq and also for any kind of companies may be exempted from this kind of license also are kindly requested to submit documents proven that .
