The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) allowed import of 500,000 tonnes of petcoke per year by aluminium companies and 1.4 million tonnes of petcoke by calcined petcoke makers as per the Notification No. 42/2015-2020 dated 23 October, 2018 (Click Here).

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) published the guidance document on Food Safety Management System (FSMS) for Spice Processing dated 23 October, 2018 (Click Here).

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Laos published orders that terminate the license steel and concrete No. 1364 / WTO. A b, dated 19 October, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to issuing a license to import steel and cement. For the issuance of a license to conduct import, export, production and distribution of steel and cement, the provincial and municipal industry and trade departments are the owners and issuers of the business license. This order is to be implemented from 1 January, 2019 onwards.

The Ministry of Information and Communications, Vietnam published following dated 15 October, 2018:
- Circular No. 11/2018/TT-BTTTT (Click Here) pertaining to the list of used information technology products banned from import along with the HS code.
- Circular No. 13/2018/TT-MIC (Click Here) prescribes the list of imported information network safety products under permits and the order, procedures and dossiers for the grant of permits for import of information safety products.

South Korea Food & Drug Administration published Notification No. 2018-75 on 22 October, 2018 (Click Here) amending regulations on the Safety of Drugs.

Egyptian Consumer Protection Law, 2018 (Click Here) was published in Official Gazzette, and will come into force on 13 December, 2018.

Saudi Food and Drug Administration published Integration Guide for Drug Track & Trace System on 24 October, 2018 (Click Here).

Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) published following:
- Extension of the anti-dumping on graphite electrodes originating from India as per the Decision no 156 published on 25 September, 2018 (Click Here) and will be effective from 28 October, 2018.
- Decision no 167 published on 16 October, 2018 (Click Here) approved the list of products in respect of which the submission of customs declaration is accompanied by the submission of a document on the assessment of compliance with the technical regulations of “On restricting the use of hazardous substances in electrical engineering and radio electronics”. It contains refrigerators, electric stoves, power tools, microwave ovens, washing machines, computers, irons, vacuum cleaners, and other household appliances.
- Decision no 166 published on 16 October, 2018 (Click Here) approved the list of products for which the submission of the customs declaration is accompanied by the submission of a document on the conformity assessment of the technical regulations of “On the safety of certain types of specialized food products, including dietary medical and dietary preventive nutrition”.
- Decision no 163 published on 16 October, 2018 (Click Here) imposed temporary zero rate customs duties on import of chemical compounds for the production of plant protection products.

The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) published FSIS Directive 7120.1 Revision 47 dated 18 October, 2018 (Click Here). This directive lists safe and suitable ingredients, including food additives, used in the production of meat, poultry, and egg products.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) amended following tolerances for residues dated 19 October, 2018:
- Boscalid (Click Here) in or on multiple commodities.
- Prothioconazole (Click Here) in or on rapeseed subgroup 20A.

Ministry of Environment, Estonia amended Waste Act on 23 October, 2018 (Click Here).

The European Union published following:
- Decision (EU) 2018/1572 of 15 October, 2018 (Click Here) concerning the approval of three-wheeled vehicles, mopeds and of the replacement exhaust silencing systems for L-category vehicles with regard to sound emission.
- Regulation (EU) 2018/1584 of 22 October, 2018 (Click Here) amending Regulation (EC) No 889/2008 and Regulation (EC) No 834/2007 on organic production and labelling of organic products with regard to organic production, labelling and control.
- Regulation (EU) 2018/1568 of 18 October, 2018 (Click Here) concerning the authorisation of a preparation of fumonisin esterase produced by Komagataella phaffii (DSM 32159) as a feed additive for all pigs and all poultry species.
