As per the Public Notice No. 42/2015-2020 dated 16 October, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT description of import item 1 in SION A-1486 is amended from Lauryl Alcohol to Lauryl Myristyl Alcohol.

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has published following:
- Notification 74/2018-Customs published on 11 October, 2018 (Click Here) increased import duty to 20% from 10% on the Lines of Mobile Phone.
- Notification No. 75/2018 – Customs published on 11 October, 2018 (Click Here) raised Basic Customs duty on Optical Equipment, IP Radio from 10% to 20%.
- Notification No. 76/2018 – Customs published on 11 October, 2018 (Click Here) says Printed Circuit Boards Assembly for eight telecommunication products cannot be imported under ITA at Zero duty.
- Notification No. 53 (Click Here) & 54/2018 – Central Tax published on 9 October, 2018 (Click Here) amended CGST rule 2017.
- Notification No. 52/2018-Customs (ADD) published on 15 October, 2018 (Click Here) dropped Anti-dumping Duty on Phthalic Anhydride from Korea, Taiwan and Israel.
- Notification No. 86/20 18-Customs (N.T.) published on 15 October, 2018 (Click Here) revised Tariff Value of Palm Oil, Palmolein, Gold and Silver, Brass Scrap, Areca Nuts and Poppy Seeds.
- Notification No. 51/2018-Customs (ADD) published on 9 October, 2018 (Click Here) extended anti-dumping duty on Ductile Iron Pipes (DI Pipes) from China for six months.
- Instruction No.16/2018- Customs published on 8 October, 2018 (Click Here) classified e-Seals in tariff item 83099030.
- Instruction No.17/2018- Customs published on 8 October, 2018 (Click Here) regarding Guidelines for handling and storage of valuable goods that are seized/ confiscated by the Department.

The Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) published following:
- Order dated 12 October, 2018 (Click Here) related to MRL testing of herbicide Glyphosate in Pulses.
- Order dated 15 October, 2018 related to validity period of 163 FSSAI notified NABL Accredited Food Testing Laboratories (Click Here) for the purposes of carrying out analysis of samples taken under Section 47 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
- Letter dated 16 October 2018 (Click Here) related to special drive for ensuring safe and quality milk and milk products during festivals.

Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of South Africa published Notice No. 629 of 2018 dated 12 October, 2018 (Click Here) related to establishment of statutory measure and determination of levies on macadamia nuts intended for sale in the republic of South Africa.

The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code - Schedule 20 - Maximum residue limits Variation Instrument No. APVMA 7, 2018 dated 12 October, 2018 (Click Here). This code provides to vary Schedule 20 of the Food Standards Code to include or change MRLs pertaining to agricultural products.

South Korea Food Drug Authority (KFDA) published following on 12 October, 2018:
- Notice no 2018-74 (Click Here) revised standard and specification of food.
- Notice No. 2018-73 (Click Here) amended Regulations on the recognition of functional raw materials for health functional foods and standards and specifications.

Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Food, Spain published Order APA / 1083/2018, of 18 October, 2018 (Click Here) by which measures are dictated to avoid the cross-border contamination derived from the cultivation of genetically modified maize to the neighboring member states in which the cultivation of these genetically modified organisms is prohibited.

National Registry of Plant Therapeutics, Argentina issued Resolution SENASA N° 263-670/2018 (Click Here) on 10 October, 2018 prohibited imports of fractionation of the active principles carbofuran, carbosulfan, diazinon, aldicarb and dicofol. The prohibition effective from 10 October, 2018.

The Russian Government published following:
- Decree of the Government No. 1222 published on 16 October, 2018 (Click Here) Federal Customs Service has to provide information to the Ministry of Health of Russia through the inter-agency electronic interaction on the import and export of biomedical cellular products in the prescribed form.
- Federal Customs Service dated 10 October, 2018 (Click Here) communicates to the novation of the law “On Customs Regulation in the Russian Federation” included in it in order to implement the wishes of the business community. The law came into force on September 4, 2018. The Federal Customs Service of Russia draws attention to certain provisions of the law regarding the conduct of customs control after the release of goods.

- Statutory Instrument of Northern Ireland no 174 published on 11 October, 2018 (Click Here) regarding The Misuse of Drugs (Designation) (Amendment No.2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2018. The amended order will come into force from 1 November 2018.
- Welsh Statutory Instrument 2018 No. 1064 (W. 223) regarding The Plant Health (Wales) Order 2018 published on 11 October, 2018 (Click Here).
- Statutory Instrument 2018 No. 1048 regarding The Plant Health (Forestry) (Amendment) (England and Scotland) Order 2018 published on 10 October, 2018 (Click Here).

The European Union published following:
- Regulation (EU) 2018/1516 on 12 October, 2018 (Click Here) amending Annexes II and III to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 regarding maximum residue levels for penoxsulam, triflumizole and triflumuron in or on certain products.
- Regulation (EU) 2018/1514 of 10 October, 2018 (Click Here) amending Annexes II, III and IV to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 regarding maximum residue levels for abamectin, acibenzolar-S-methyl, clopyralid, emamectin, fenhexamid, fenpyrazamine, fluazifop-P, isofetamid, Pasteuria nishizawae Pn1, talc E553B and tebuconazole in or on certain products.
- Decision (EU) 2018/1553 of 15 October, 2018 (Click Here) on conditions for the recognition of electronic phytosanitary certificates issued by the national plant protection organisations of third countries.
- Regulation (EU) 2018/1533 of 12 October, 2018 (Click Here) concerning the authorisation of sodium alginate as a feed additive for cats, dogs, other non-food-producing animals and fish and potassium alginate as a feed additive for cats and dogs.
