  1. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade published following:

  2. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), India has published following dated 14 September, 2018:

    • Notification No. 61/2018-Customs (Click Here) to amend the Notification No. 73/2005 - Customs, dated the 22 July, 2005 and Notification No. 10/2008- Customs, dated the 15 January, 2008 to bring about necessary changes as per the second protocol amending the India Singapore Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement.

    • Notification No. 78/2018-Customs (N.T.) (Click Here) pertaining to tariff notification in respect of fixation of tariff value of Edible Oils, Brass Scrap, Poppy Seeds, Areca Nut, Gold and Sliver.

    • Notification No. 79/2018 - Customs (N.T.) (Click Here) to amend Customs Tariff Determination of Origin of Goods under the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of India and Republic of Singapore Rules, 2005. Principal notification No. 59/2005-Customs (N.T.) dated 20th July, 2005.

  3. The Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) published following dated 18 September, 2018:

  4. Department of Animal Husbandy, Dairing & Fisheries, India published revised guidelines for export/import of Bovine Germplasm dated 17 September, 2018 (Click Here). The import and export of the cattle/ buffalo germplasm is under the restricted list and is allowed against license(s) issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce on the recommendation of the Department of Animal Husbandry dairying & Fisheries.

  5. Ministry of Steel, India has published Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Order, 2018 vide S.O. No. 3966 (E) dated 19 September, 2018 (Click Here) to amend the implementation date of High Carbon Steel Wire Rods (under HS 72139190 & 72139990) is 20 November, 2018 instead of 20 September, 2018.

  6. The Minister of Industry and Trade, Vietnam issued  Circular No. 27/2018 / TT-BCT dated 19 September, 2018 (Click Here) for traders importing motorbikes with a capacity of 175cm3 or more are not required to register for automatic import licenses at the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The circular takes effect on 5 November, 2018.

  7. Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Laos published Notice No. 4186 / BC, dated 12 September, 2018 (Click Here) to initiate  implementing the standard service (service charter) of the Department of Import and Export to improve and upgrade performance.

  8. Turkey Ministry of Commerce has published regulation on the amendment of the Price Label Regulation dated 18 September, 2018 (Click Here). According to the decision the sale price of the good and the date the unit are to be applied on labels. The tariffs and price lists of the labels to be used will be clearly visible, readable. This regulation will take effect after 15 days of publication.

  9. Health Canada ban on partially hydrogenated oils (PHOs) dated 17 September, 2018. This includes Canadian and imported foods, as well as those prepared in all food service establishments and adding them to Part 1 of the List of Contaminants and other Adulterating Substances in Foods (Click Here). The new regulation applies only to PHOs, not naturally occurring Trans fats which can be found in some animal-based foods such as milk, cheese, beef and lamb.

  10. The National Standardization Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Economy, Mexico published Mexican Official Standard NOM-201-SCFI-2017 - Specifications and Test Methods for Portable Cooking Devices that Use LP Gas or other Petroleum Products (Click Here) was published in the Official Gazette of 20 August, 2018.

The National Sanitary Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) of Brazil published Resolution of the Collegiate Board of Directors (RDC) 237, 2018 dated 17 September, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to personal hygiene products, cosmetics and children's perfumes (HPPC) are exempt from registration with the ANVISA as of 15 September, 2018. This group includes soaps, creams, shampoos, enamels, colognes, powders, toothpastes, among dozens of other items. The new rule does not apply to insect repellents for children and children's sunscreens, which remain subject to registration.

  12. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) amended tolerances for residues of Afidopyropen dated 13 September, 2018 (Click Here) in or on multiple commodities.
