As per Public Notice 29/2015-2020 dated 9 August, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT the HS Code 63029100 has been made eligible for MEIS for the period 01.04.2015 to 30.09.2015 with the same eligibility conditions, without late cut, as was applicable for HS Code 63029190 (MEIS sl no, 2762 in the Public Notice 02/2015-20 dated 01.04.2015) in the said period.

As per Public Notice 30/2015-2020 dated 14 August, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT one time relaxation and condonation of delay in submission of installation certificate to RAs under EPCG Scheme for authorizations issued upto 31.03.2015, without payment of any penalty.

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), India published following:
- Circular No. 26/2018 - Customs dated 10 August, 2018 (Click Here) related to simplification and rationalization of processing of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO-T1) application. The AEO-T1 status holder are eligible for 24/7 cargo clearance, exemption from payment of merchant overtime fee, separate earmarked space in custodian’s premises, and facility of Direct Port Delivery (DPD) for import and export consignments.
- Notification No. 71/2018-CUSTOMS (N.T.) published on 14 August, 2018 (Click Here) notifies tariff value of Palm oil, Gold, Silver and Areca nut.
- Notification No. 72/2018-CUSTOMS (N.T.) published on 14 August, 2018 (Click Here) notifies exchange rate of South African Rand.

The Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) published Food Safety and Standards (Fortification of Foods) Regulations, 2018 dated 10 August, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to standards on fortification of food set out in any regulations, orders, or guidelines issued under the Act thereunder save as regards regulations on nutraceuticals and foods for Special Dietary Uses. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette and Food Business Operator shall comply with all the provisions of these regulations by 1 January, 2019.

Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Indonesia published Regulation Number 7 Year 2018 dated 6 August, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to licensing services for communication and information technology. SDPPI services and data center has been moved to the newly-launched online integrated OSS system - https://oss.go.id.

The Government of Vietnam published Announcement No. 281 / TB-VPCP dated 7 August, 2018 (Click Here) related to importing and using scrap as a raw material for production.

The Ministry of Public Health, Thailand has published Notification of Ministry of Public Health (No.389) BE 2561 (2018) Re: Food Additives (No.5) dated 12 August, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to amendment to its food additive regulations.

The Ministry of Finance, Laos issued a notice No. 2479 / MOF, dated 30 July, 2018 (Click Here) to ensure that the imported from abroad are helping relief people get to the impact of the threat of flooding are easy and quick, especially the bottles through customs at the border across the country, as defined in Article 56 of the Law on VAT No. 04 / NA, dated 21 November, 2011.

Association of Customs Dispatchers, Uruguay published Resolution 217/018 dated 8 August, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to the procedure for the import of dairy products and inputs.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, South Korea published Notice No. 2018-381 on 9 July, 2018 (Click Here) regarding Modification of the regulation on energy efficiency management equipment. It gives clarification of definition and scope of Air conditioners, Rice cookers, Multi heat pump systems, Internal converter type LED, External converter type LED. The changes will come into force from 1 October, 2019.

South Korean Agency for Technology and Standards published Public Notice No. 2018-243 on 2 August, 2018 (Click Here) amending safety control for electrical appliances. The amendment pertains to chargers for electric vehicles, LED illumination system, PCB LED modules.

The European Union published following:
- Regulation (EU) 2018/1137 of 10 August, 2018 (Click Here) regarding supervision, plant health checks and measures to be taken on wood packaging material for the transport of commodities originating in certain third countries.
- Regulation (EU) 2018/1131 of 13 August, 2018 (Click Here) approving penflufen as an active substance for use in biocidal products of product-type 8.
- Regulation (EU) 2018/1130 of 13 August, 2018 (Click Here) approving cypermethrin as an existing active substance for use in biocidal products of product-type 18.
- Regulation (EU) 2018/1132 of 13 August, 2018 (Click Here) authorising the change of the designation and specific labelling requirement of the novel food synthetic zeaxanthin under Regulation (EU) 2015/2283.
- Regulation (EU) 2018/1129 of 13 August, 2018 (Click Here) approving acetamiprid as an existing active substance for use in biocidal products of product-type 18.
- Regulation (EU) 2018/1128 of 9 August, 2018 (Click Here) amending Regulation (EU) No 1354/2011 opening annual Union tariff quotas for sheep, goats, sheep meat and goatmeat.
- Regulation (EU) 2018/1120 of 10 August, 2018 (Click Here) amending Annex I to Regulation (EU) No 605/2010 as regards the list of third countries or parts thereof from which the introduction into the European Union of consignments of raw milk, dairy products, colostrum and colostrum-based products is authorised.

- Decision (EU) 2018/1136 of 10 August, 2018 (Click Here) on risk mitigation and reinforced biosecurity measures and early detection systems in relation to the risks posed by wild birds for the transmission of highly pathogenic avian influenza viruses to poultry.

- Spinetoram dated 8 August, 2018 (Click Here) in or on tea, dried and tea, instant.
