Dear Madam/Sir,
  1. As per Notification 46/2015-2020 dated 24 January, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT in addition to the existing STEs, M/s NFL is permitted to import urea for another two months i.e. till 26.02.2018.

  2. As per Notification 45/2015-2020 dated 19 January, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT export of all varieties of onions, described at this notification, will be allowed only on Letter of Credit (LC) subject to a Minimum Export Price (MEP) of US$ 700 F.O.B. per Metric Ton (instead of US$ 850 F.O.B. per Metric Ton) with immediate effect and till 20.02.2018.

  3. As per Notification 44/2015-2020 dated 18 January, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT import of seconds/defectives of steel items as mentioned at SI. No. I to 7 of Policy Condition No.2 of Chapter 72 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule-I (Import Policy), shall be allowed also through Nhava Sheva (JNPT) and at ICD-Tughlakabad, New Delhi, besides the existing Customs sea port at Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata.

  4. The corrigendum to Public Notice No. 53/2015-2020 dated 17.01.2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT pertains to revised list of banks and Nominated Agencies in Appendix 4B of HBP 2015-20 for import of Gold/Silver.

  5. DGFT has published Public Notice 56/2015-2020 dated 19 January, 2018 (Click Here) related to amendments in the Standard Input Output Norms (SION).

  6. As per Notification 8/2018 -Cus (NT) dated 22 January, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the CBEC regarding amendment in Notification No. 89/2017-Cus (NT) dated 21.09.2017 relating to AIRs of Duty Drawback. The new duty drawback rate has been updated on the Indian Trade Portal- www.indiantradeportal.in.

  7. The Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) published Direction under Section 16 (S) of Food Safety and Standards Act. 2006 dated 19 January, 2018 (Click Here) regarding use of stickers/stampings of fortification logo on the labels of fortified edible oils.

  8. Ministry of Public Health, Thailand published Notification Volume 135, Special Issue 6 dated 17 January, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to setting up of a checkpoint for medical devices imported or exported.

  9. The Food and Drug Administration of Thailand published Notification Volume 134, Special Issue, 311 dated 18 January, 2018 (Click Here) with regard to advise to improve the implementation of food serial numbers.

  10. Health Canada published amendment to its MRL. This document modifies the list of contaminants and other adulterating substances in Foods dated 17 January, 2018 (Click Here) to add the maximum level for Patulin in Apple Juice and Unfermented Apple Cider.
