Dear Madam/Sir,
  1. The DGFT has published Trade Notice 15/2018 dated 4 June, 2018 (Click Here) regarding requirement of Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) for online/digital payment through e-MPS. Now, a person desiring to make online/digital payment can logon to e-MPS using his PAN details. There is no need for having digital signatures for making digital/online payment.

  2. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) has issued Notification No. 48/2018- Customs (N.T.) dated 4 June, 2018 (Click Here) regarding the Exports by Post Regulations, 2018, and shall come into force on 21 June, 2018. These Regulations shall apply to export of goods by any person, holding a valid Import- Export Code issued by the DGFT, in furtherance of business from any foreign post office notified under sub- section (e) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962. In case of goods to be exported through a foreign post office, an entry shall be required to be presented to the proper officer at the foreign post office of clearance, in the forms appended to these regulations that are given in this Notification.

  3. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) published letter dated 6 June, 2018 (Click Here) related to extension of time line for compliance of labelling provisions for the products "Frozen Dessert or Confection with Added Vegetable Oil/ Fat or Vegetable Protein, or both" is extended for a further period of six months i.e., up to 1 January, 2019 or till further order, whichever is earlier under FSS (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Thirteenth Amendment Regulations, 2017.

  4. The Energy Commission of Malaysia published statement on Domestic Gas Kitchen must get ST Approval and SIRIM Label dated 30 May, 2018 (Click Here). All domestic gas appliances using liquid petroleum gas (LPG) have to be approved by the Energy Commission (ST) and have the SIRIM labels before they are marketed in the country. The regulations will be fully implemented on 1 April, 2019.

  5. The National Pharmacy Registry Division (NPRA) Malaysia published Regulation 15 year 2018 dated 30 May, 2018 (Click Here) regarding guidelines on conditional registration for new Chemical entities and Biologics.

  6. The Department of Drugs and Food (DDF), Cambodia published Prakas No. 1258 dated 7 June, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to registration procedure of medical equipments.

  7. Ministry of Industry, Thailand published Notification No. 5044 (BE 2561) dated 5 June, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to amendment of standards for industrial gas cylinders - aluminum tanks Gas-tight welding reel for its design, construction and testing.

  8. The Minister of Science and Technology, Laos published an agreement dated 1 June, 2018 on the approval and promulgation of the following national standards on products.

  9. The Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (DAWR), Australia published Notice no. 44-2018 - Introducing inspection of cooked prawns dated 30 May, 2018 (Click Here). This notice is of interest to Australian importers of cooked prawns, brokers, biosecurity industry participants and retailers of cooked prawns.

    • Regulation (EU)2018/832 (Click Here) amending Annexes II, III and V to regulation (EC) No 396/2005 regarding maximum residue levels for cyantraniliprole, cymoxanil, deltamethrin, difenoconazole, fenamidone, flubendiamide, fluopicolide, folpet, fosetyl, mandestrobin, mepiquat, metazachlor, propamocarb, propargite, pyrimethanil, sulfoxaflor and trifloxystrobin in or on certain products.
