Dear Madam/Sir,

As per Notification 03/2015-220 dated 16 April, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT import of radiation generating components under Exim codes 90221200, 90221410, 90221420, 90223000, 90229010, 90229020 and 90229030 of Chapter 90 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule - I (Import Policy), hereinafter, will be subject to prior regulatory clearance from Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB).

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has published Notification dated 13 April, 2018 on the authorization of 7 NABL Accredited food testing laboratories (Click Here) for analysis of sample under Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code Instrument No. 4 (MRL Standard) Amendment Instrument 2018 (No. 4) dated 19 April, 2018 (Click Here). It amends the MRLs of agricultural and veterinary chemicals and MRLs for pesticides in animal feed commodities for certain compounds.

South Korean Food Drug Administrator (KFDA) published Notice no 26-2018 (Click Here) and Notice no 24-2018 (Click Here) dated 16 April, 2018 regarding labelling standard and the inspection of imported sanitary products.

The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) published Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) Program Operations Manual Version 6 dated 16 April, 2018 (Click Here). All consignments which are subject to the Kenya PVoC must obtain a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) issued by an authorised PVoC Agents.

Ministry of Health, Denmark published Guidance document on dental medical devices by measure on 13 April, 2018 (Click Here).

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Japan published Dietary issue 0419 No. 1 dated 19 April, 2018 (Click Here) for partial revision of the test method for substances that are components of pesticides, feed additives or veterinary drugs remaining in food.

The European Union published Regulation (EU) 2018/588 and 589 published on 18 April, 2018 amending Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) as regards methanol (Click Here) and 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (Click Here).

Eurasian Council for Economic published decision No. 54 on 10 April, 2018 (Click Here) made changes in the lists of standards used in compliance with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union "On the Safety of Perfume and Cosmetic Products" (TR TS 009/2011).The decision comes into force after 30 calendar days from the date of its official publication.

The Federal Commission for the Protection Against Sanitary Risk (COFEPRIS) of Mexico published following amendments of its food additive regulations dated 10 April, 2018:

The United Kingdom published following:
- Statutory Instruments 2018 No. 482 published on 17 April, 2018 (Click Here) regarding the Ionising Radiation (Basic Safety Standards) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 2018. The changes will come into force from 8 May, 2018.
- Statutory Instruments 2018 No. 483 published on 17 April, 2018 (Click Here) regarding the Customs (Contravention of a Relevant Rule) (Amendment) Regulations 2018. The changes will come into force from 9 May, 2018.
- Statutory Rules of Northern Ireland 2018 No. 91 published on 13 April, 2018 (Click Here) regarding the Waste (Fees and Charges) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2018. The changes will come into force from 7 May, 2018.
- Statutory Rules of Northern Ireland 2018 No. 86 published on 13 April, 2018 (Click Here) regarding the Goods Vehicles (Testing) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2018.
