Mexico - Proposed amendment to Mexican Official Standard NOM-025/1-NUCL-2000: Requirements for industrial radiography equipment. Part 1: General requirements

Secretaría de Energía (Ministry of Energy) has issued amendment to Mexican Official Standard NOM-025/1-NUCL-2000: Requirements for industrial radiography equipment. Part 1: General requirements. In industrial radiography, devices are used that allow for the use of sealed radioactive sources emitting gamma radiation. In order to ensure that these devices function properly during the taking of x-rays, the work container and related equipment must comply with the notified Standard.

Proposed date of adoption: The notified Mexican Official Standard will be adopted upon its publication in the Official Journal as a final Mexican Official Standard.

Proposed date of entry into force: The notified Mexican Official Standard will enter into force 60 calendar days after its publication in the Official Journal.

Final date for comments: 60 calendar days from 19 January 2017.
