Hong kong – Draft Revision of Code of Practice on Energy Labelling of Products for televisions, storage type electric water heaters, induction cookers, room air conditioners of reverse cycle type (i.e. heating performance) and washing machines of a washing capacity higher than 7 kg but not exceeding 10 kg

Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, Hong Kong, China proposes to include televisions, storage type electric water heaters and induction cookers as well as expand the coverage of room air conditioners to heating performance and washing machines to a washing capacity not exceeding 10 kg in its mandatory energy efficiency labelling scheme. The Draft Revision of Code of Practice specifies the test standards and energy efficiency grading calculation methods for these appliances.

Proposed date of adoption: By 3rd quarter of 2017

Proposed date of entry into force: By 1st quarter of 2019

Final date for comments: 60 days from circulation by WTO Secretariat
