Uganda – Draft standard DUS 1655-2:2016, Footwear – Ladies shoes – Specification – Part 2: Open shoes

Uganda National Bureau of Standardshas published Draft standard specifies the requirements and test methods for ladies open shoes made from all types of materials and of all constructions and designs. This draft Standard intends to give specifications for ladies' open shoes. It will assist footwear manufacturers and merchants in getting value for their products. In addition, it will give the general consumers of the product bases to choose the products from an informed state. The main purpose of this draft standard therefore is to provide a basis for evaluating the quality of ladies' open shoes.

Proposed date of adoption: June 2017

Proposed date of entry into force: Upon declaration as mandatory by the Minister for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives.

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
