New Zealand specifies import health standards for importation of nursery stock

Ministry of Prime Industries describes the import specifications and entry conditions for nursery stock imported into New Zealand. Urgent measures have been put in place to manage Xylella fastidiosa on the newly identified host genera under the following schedules:

Arbutus; Chrysanthemum; Chrysanthemum morifolium; Cichorium; Hebe; and Metrosideros.Imports of the newly identified host genera, on their respective schedules, will be required to comply with the existing measures for the management of X. fastidiosa in the import health standard 155.02.06: Importation of Nursery Stock. Specifically, to comply with section 2.2.1.12: Measures for Xylella fastidiosa and section 2.2.2.5: Measures for Xylella fastidiosa on tissue culture.
