European Commission has issued draft regulation refusing to authorise a health claim made on foods, other than those referring to the reduction of disease risk and to children's development and health . This draft Commission Regulation concerns the refusal of authorisation of a health claim made on foods, other than those referring to the reduction of disease risk and to children's development and health in accordance with Article 18(5) of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 December 2006 on nutrition and health claims made on foods.

Proposed date of adoption: 4th quarter 2017

Proposed date of entry into force: 20 days from publication in the Official Journal of the EU

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
