USA - Computers, Computer Monitors, and Signage Displays Appliance Efficiency Rulemaking

California Energy Commission, State of California [1223] has issued notification amending rules to add requirements for computers and computer monitors, clarify that signage displays are subject to the previously adopted television standards, and add an exemption to the battery charger systems standards clarifying that battery charger systems that are contained completely within a larger product and that provide power for data storage or for continuity for volatile cache or memory systems, help maintain system memory, and are not capable of powering full operation when AC mains power is removed are not required to comply with the regulations.
