Vietnam - QCVN 34:2016/BGTVT National technical regulation on pneumatic tyres for automobiles

Ministry of Transport has issued draft technical regulation specifies the technical requirements for new pneumatic tires type (hereinafter referred to as tires) for motor vehicles and trailers and semi-trailers; except for the following categories:

·     The tires for cars with speeds under 60 km/h and 300 km/h.

·     The tires for sports racing cars.

This draft technical regulation applies to those who manufacture, sale, import tires, automobile manufacturing and assembly agencies and organizations and individuals involved in the testing, inspection and certification for the quality, the safety and the environment protection of automotive tires.

This draft technical regulation shall replace QCVN 34:2011/BGTVT: National technical regulation on pneumatic tyres for automobiles.

Proposed date of adoption: 5 December 2016

Proposed date of entry into force: 1 January 2017

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
