Canada - Proposed Maximum Residue Limit for Pyriofenone

Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), Health Canada has issued notification proposingMaximum Residue Limit for Pyriofenone (PMRL2016-45. The objective of the notified document PMRL2016-45 is to consult on the listed domestic  maximum residue limits (MRLs) for pyriofenone that have been proposed by the Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA).

MRL (ppm)   Raw Agricultural Commodity (RAC) and/or Processed Commodity

1.5                   Berries and small fruits (Crop Group 13-07), except large shrub and tree                               berries (Crop Subgroup 13-07C)

0.3                    Cucurbit vegetables (Crop Group 9)

ppm = parts per million

MRLs are proposed for each commodity included in the listed crop groupings in accordance with the Residue Chemistry Crop Groups webpage (http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/cps-spc/pest/part/protect-proteger/food-nourriture/rccg-gcpcr-eng.php) in the Pesticides and Pest Management section of Health Canada's website.

Proposed date of adoption : Normally within four to five months from the posting of the Proposed MRL document on the Health Canada website.

Proposed date of entry into force: [ ] Six months from date of publication, and/or : On the date the measure is adopted.
