Prescribes the requirements and methods of sampling and test for chlorine tablets. It applies to chlorine tablets used for treating drinking water only and not swimming pool. Chlorine tablets are disinfecting agents for chlorination of small quantities of water meant for use in houses, hospitals, offices, hotels and such other places where safe potable water is not available.
