Thailand - Proposing changes in Mandatory standards for Tungsten filament lamps (HS: 853931, 854370 & 854089) 

The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has proposed to withdraw TIS 4 Part 1 – 2529(1986) Incandescent lamps, and replace it with TIS 4 Part 1 – 25xx Tungsten filament lamps for domestics and similar lighting purpose Part 1 safety specification as a mandatory standard. This draft standard specifies the safety and interchangeability requirements of tungsten filament incandescent lamps for general lighting service. As far as is reasonably practicable, this standard is also applicable to lamps with bulbs and caps other as those mentioned above, but which serve the same purpose.
