EU Alert - 15102024

Dear Madam/Sir,

In order to keep the Indian exporters informed of the rejections faced by Indian products in the EU and to take preventive actions. FIEO is forwarding the Rapid Alert Systems for Food and Feed (RASFF) and for Non-Food Consumer Products (RAPEX) alerts on a weekly basis.

The alerts from EU generated during 8^th - 14^th October 2024 are as under:

Norway : Salmonella Senftenberg in sesame seeds from India
- Product: Food (Nuts, nut products and seeds) - Hulled sesame seeds
- Risk: Serious
- Notification type: Information notification for attention
- Action Taken: Re-dispatch

Germany : Tricyclazole and propiconazole in rice from India
- Product: Food (Cereals and bakery products) - Rice
- Risk: Not Serious
- Notification type: Border Rejection Notification
- Action Taken: Official detention
- Date: 11-10-2024

Italy : Eau de parfum intended for women, 100 ml.
- Product: Cosmetics (Perfume) - Camrie
- Risk: Chemical
- Notification type: The product does not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.
- Action Taken: Ban on the marketing of the product and any accompanying measures
- Date: 10-10-2024

Germany : Henna-based hair dye, 500 g. The product is a fine, brown powder
- Product: Cosmetics (Hair dye) - Black Henna 100% Natural & Pure
- Risk: Chemical
- Notification type: The product does not comply with the Cosmetic Products Regulation.
- Action Taken: Stop of sales
