Brazil - Draft Technical regulation on the Identity and Quality Standards for Dietary, Low-Calorie and Non-Alcoholic Beverages

Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA) has issued draft Technical Regulation Establishing the Identity and Quality Standards for Dietary and Low-Calorie Non-Alcoholic Beverages that should have the content of sugars normally added in conventional drink, entirely replaced by low-calorie or non-caloric, natural or artificial sweeteners, among others requirements, in order to review the Normative Instruction Nº 30, 27 September 1999 (Instrução Normativa Nº 3, de 27 de Setembro de 1999).
