  1. As per Notification 24/2015-2020 dated 8 August, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT para 2.05 on IEC is revised and details on the procedure is shifted to para 2.08 of Handbook of Procedures.

  2. As per Public Notice 27/2015-2020 dated 8 August, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT procedure for filling online application for IEC/ modification in IEC/e-IEC is laid down. IEC will henceforth be system generated and applicant will have the facility of taking a print out of IEC. Further, requirement of Digital Signature for submitting IEC applications is done away.

  3. As per Public Notice 28/2015-2020 dated 8 August, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFTMEIS rates for certain items has been enhanced for exports made on or after 01.1 1.2017 and the rate for one HS Code 62142010 which was at 5% before Public Notice 42/2015-20 dated 24.11.2017 and was incorrectly notified as being increased from notified to 5%.

  4. The DGFT has published amendment in policy and procedure for online IEC applications as per trade notice 23/2018-19 dated 8 August, 2018 (Click Here).

  5. The Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House (JNCH - Nhava Sheva) has issued Public Notice No. 114/ 2018 dated 1 August, 2018 (Click Here) regarding the Standard Operating Procedures for movement of Domestic Containers from Hinterland (Inland Container Depot) to JNPT Terminals.

  11. Department of Industrial Works, Thailand published Book 135, Special Issue 187 dated 6 August, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to the manufacturer, the importer, the exporter of dangerous substance (white oil or refined petroleum oils).

  12. The official gazette from Spain (BOE) published following:

    • Order PCI/824/2018 dated 3 August, 2018 (Click Here). This order amends the annex I regarding the list of Exemptions from the prohibition of the use of lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium in the materials and components of vehicles for the purpose of ELV.

    • Royal Decree 861/2018 dated 1 August, 2018 (Click Here), which establishes the basic regulations regarding compulsory declarations of the olive oil and table olives sectors.

    • Royal Decree 902/2018 dated 1 August, 2018 (Click Here), which modifies Royal Decree 140/2003, of February 7, which establishes sanitary criteria for the quality of water for human consumption, and the specifications of the methods of analysis of Royal Decree 1798/2010, of December 30, which regulates the exploitation and commercialization of natural mineral waters and spring waters packaged for human consumption, and Royal Decree 1799/2010, of December 30, regulates the process of preparation and marketing of packaged prepared water for human consumption.

  15. National Radio Research Agency, South Korea published notification No. 2018-13 on 31 July, 2018 (Click Here) regarding amendment of Conformity assessment for broadcasting communications equipment.

  16. The SUBTEL (Telecommunication authority), Chile published Resolution 1517/2018 on 30 July, 2018 (Click Here) amending the Resolution 1985/2017 of Short Range Devices, ( Blue-tooth and WLAN). The amendment allows Maximum power output allowed: 1W (before was 150mW), For band 5150-5250MHz (indoor use only) but with new limit of 200mW (before 150mW) and band 5725-5850MHz with same value for indoor and outdoor use at 1W. Before the outdoor use was allowed until 50mW.

  17. The Ministry of Energy, Sub-secretariat for Energy Efficiency of Argentina approved as maximum level of specific energy consumption, or minimum of energy efficiency, as of 1 July, 2019 (Click Here), corresponding to class A energy efficiency established in the standards IRAM 62404 Part 1: 2014 and 2: 2015 for halogen lamps with tungsten filament for general lighting and fluorescent lamps for general lighting with built-in ballast, with simple bushing and with double bushing.

  18. The ENACOM (National Telecommunications Authority) of Argentina published on 24 July, 2018 the Resolution 4709/2018 to update the test reports and certificates requirements (Click Here) for the type approval procedure of radio interfaces of User Terminals in Mobile Communication Services.

  19. National Health Surveillance Agency of Brazil (ANVISA) published Resolution of the Collegiate Board of Directors - RDC nº 226/2018 dated 6 August, 2018 (Click Here) which provides for the registration of tobacco products derived from tobacco.

  20. Brazil Ministries of Mines and Energy Resources (MME), Industry, Foreign Trade and Services (MDIC), Science, Technology, Innovation and Communication (MCTIC) published following machines and appliances manufactured or marketed in the country on the basis of relevant technical indicators setting maximum levels of energy consumption or energy efficiency dated 2 August, 2018:

  21. Eurasian Council of Economic published decision no 124 on 7 August, 2018 (Click Here) making changes in the procedure for the provision of preliminary information on goods intended for importation by water transport, and the procedure for recording preliminary information.

  22. Russia Federal Law No 289-FZ published on 3 August, 2018 (Click Here) amends customs regulation provision pertaining to import and export of goods, their transportation under customs control, temporary storage, customs declaration etc.

  23. The European Union published Regulation (EU) 2018/1098 on 2 August, 2018 (Click Here) amending and correcting Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 110/2008 on the definition, description, presentation, labelling and the protection of geographical indications of spirit drinks.
