Dear Madam/Sir,
  1. As per Public Notice 53/2015-2020 dated 17 January, 2017 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT list of banks and Nominated Agencies in Appendix 4B of HBP 2015-20 for import Gold/Silver has been updated.

  2. As per Public Notice 52/2015-2020 dated 12 January, 2017 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT amendments have been made in Ayat Niryat Forms (ANF) 4A, 4E, 4F, 4G, 4H & 41 of Handbook of Procedures 2015-2020 in light of implementation of GST and non-issuance of EP copies of shipping Bills by Customs Authorities.

  3. As per Public Notice 51/2015-2020 dated 9 January, 2017 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT transition period for registering under the Registered Exporters System (REX) for EU Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) has been extended up to 30.06.2018.

  4. Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, India on 4 January, 2017 has decided to extend the relaxation of fumigation regulations (Click Here) for import of agricultural commodities for which fumigation treatment with Methyl Bromide is stipulated in the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003 (PQ Order, 2003), till 30 June, 2018.

    • Food Standards Triacylglycerol Lipase as a Processing Aid (Enzyme) sourced from Candida cylindracea in bakery, dairy products and in the processing of fats and oils.

    • Food Standards Aqualysin 1 (Protease) as a Processing Aid (Enzyme) sourced from Bacillus subtilis for manufacture of bakery product.

  12. Government of Russia published following:

    • Federal Law No. 429-FZ published on 28 December, 2017 (Click Here) amended Law on Plant Quarantine. It recognizes the invalidation of the legal norm, according to which laboratory studies of samples and (or) samples of quarantine products imported into the Russia. It also add new wording, according to which laboratory studies of samples and (or) samples of said quarantine products before 1 January, 2021 are carried out at the expense of its owners.

    • Decision of Board no 184 published dated 19 December, 2017 (Click Here) extending the anti-dumping duty against graphitized electrodes originating in India. This decision will be effective from 26 January, 2018

    • Decision of the Council No. 99 on 20 December, 2017 (Click Here) amended the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union "Food products in terms of labeling" (TP TC 022/2011). As per amendment, the packaging of food products containing genetically modified organisms, the manufacturer is obliged to affix the appropriate marking of the products. The mark is applied in case the content of GMO in the product exceeds 0.9%. The decision comes into force after 12 months from the date of its official publication.

  13. The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation published federal law No 435 Z dated 16 January, 2018 (Click Here) recalls changes in certain legislative acts regulating the import and export of cultural property.

  15. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of South Africa amends Liquor Product Act, 1989 dated 5 January, 2018 (Click Here) which refer to the substances which may be added to Liquor products.

  16. The United States National Marine Fisheries Service (NOAA) has decided to adopt an “informed compliance” approach to its implementation of the Seafood Import Monitoring Program (SIMP) (Click Here). From 1 January 2018, on the program`s first phase requires seafood traders to keep thorough records to prove seafood products that enter the United States are legally and sustainably caught. In addition, seafood traders will now have to provide more documentation to sell seafood products to American consumers.
