Dear Madam/Sir,

As per Notification 51/2015-2020 dated 20 February, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT modification in Section 3(1) (a), (b) and deletion of Section 3(1) (c) of the Foreign Trade (Exemption from application of Rules in certain cases) Amendment Order, 2017 is notified.

As per Public Notice 62/2015-2020 dated 16 February, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT all Regional Authorities to process application for MEIS claim with the objective of improving ease of doing business, simplifying the procedures, increasing transparency and cutting down delays.

As per Public Notice 61/2015-2020 dated 16 February, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT seaports located at Dhamra Port and Dighi Port are included in paragraph 4.37(a) of Handbook of Procedures (2015-20) for availing export promotion benefits under Chapter 4 of Foreign Trade Policy.

As per Public Notice 60/2015-2020 dated 15 February, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT certain amendments/corrections have been made to Table 2 of Appendix 3B of FTP 2015-20 to align them with the ITC(HS) codes 2017 for exports made w.e.f. 01.01.2017.

The DGFT has published Trade Notice 24/2018 dated 21 February, 2018 (Click Here) giving information on details of shipping bills in cases where exporters who have inadvertently ticked ’’N’’ (for No) instead of ’’Y’’ (for Yes) in "Reward" column of shipping bills while filing the EDI shipping bills, but have declared the intent in the affirmative (in wording) in the shipping bill.

The Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) published the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging and labelling) Amendment Regulations, 2018 dated 20 February, 2018 (Click Here) relating to labelling of Blended Vegetable Oils.

The Ministry of Steel, India published Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Order, 2018 dated 16 February, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to the list of steel products under mandatory Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification.

The Department of Fisheries, Thailand published Notification 135, Special Issue, 37th dated 20 February, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to rules and regulations on Export or Import of Aquatic Animals or Aquatic Products, 2561.

The Laos Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism published Notification on temporary suspension of all Satellite Receiver Importation. No. 55/CO dated 12 February, 2018 (Click Here). All companies, stores, wholesalers, natural persons, legal entities and organizations throughout the country that conduct businesses related to importation, distribution and installation of all satellite receivers in Lao PDR to suspend their importation of all satellite receivers from 1 February, 2018 onward.

Federal Commission for the Protection Against Sanitary Risk (COFEPRIS) of Mexico published following amendments of its food additive regulations:

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency, Denmark published Order on the use of chemical substances and mixtures of pesticides on 13 February, 2018 (Click Here). It contains lists of substances assessed by the European Commission and decided either to include or not to be included as active substances in the biocidal regulation (Regulation (EU) No 528/2012).

Decision of the Board of the Eurasian Council for Economic of No 23 published on 19 February, 2018 (Click Here) approved the list of veterinary medicinal products, the maximum permissible levels of residues which can be contained in unprocessed food products of animal origin. The list includes 82 veterinary medicinal products specifying the maximum allowable content levels, as well as the methods for their detection. The document will be applied during production and state supervision and control.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) amended following tolerance:
- Quizalofop ethyl dated 20 February, 2018 (Click Here) in or on field corn forage, grain, and stover.
- Pendimethalin dated 16 February, 2018 (Click Here) in or on alfalfa, forage and alfalfa, hay.
