Dear Madam/Sir,
  1. As per Notification 20/2015-2020 dated 25 July, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT import of arecanut over and above CIF Rs. 251/ per kilogram is free and Import below CIF Rs.251/ is prohibited.

  2. As per Notification 21/2015-2020 dated 25 July, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT import of pepper under Advance Authorisation Scheme, imports by 100% Export Oriented Units (EOUs) and units in the SEZ are ’’Free’’ and are exempted from the MIP condition.

  3. As per Notification 22/2015-2020 dated 26 July, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT the value limit for exports through Courier service/ Post has been placed at Rs. 5,00,000 and the eligibility criteria for entitlement under MEIS for courier/ post exports have been increased to Rs. 5,00,000 per consignment from the earlier Rs. 25,000 per consignment. The limitation on the port of exports for courier exports for the purpose of incentivisation under MEIS has been done away.

  4. As per Notification 23/2015-2020 dated 27 July, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT import policy of Urea for industrial/non-agricultural/technical grade shall be "Free" with Actual User Condition.

  5. Public Notice 24/2015-2020 dated 26 July, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT chapter 3 duty credit scrips are allowed for debit for import of items which were earlier not permitted.

  6. As per Public Notice 25/2015-2020 dated 27 July, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT Panipat has been notified as a Town of Export Excellence for the Carpets, Other Textile Floor Coverings and Bed Linen. 

  7. As per Trade Notice 22/2015-2020 dated 30 July, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT e-com module for applying for SEIS, based on new ANF 3B as notified vide Public Notice No.15/2015-20 dated 28.06.2018 will be available from 1.9.2018.

The Australian Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (DAWR) published Circular IFN 80-2018 - New import conditions for breaded, battered and crumbed prawns dated 27 July, 2018 ​(Click Here) pertaining to all importers of prawns and prawn meat products and associated industry participants and retailers.

  17. National Health Surveillance Agency of Brazil (ANVISA) published new regulation for dietary supplements in Brazil dated 27 July, 2018 (Click Here). According to new regulation supplement the diet of healthy people with nutrients, bioactive substances, enzymes or probiotics should be included as food supplements and comply with specific rules on composition and labeling.

  18. The European Union published following:

    • Regulation (EU) No 2018/1090 dated 31 July, 2018 (Click Here) concerning the authorisation of a preparation of endo-1,4-beta-xylanase and endo-1,3(4)-beta-glucanase produced by Komagataella pastoris (CBS 25376) and Komagataella pastoris (CBS 26469) as a feed additive for chickens for fattening, chickens reared for laying, turkeys for fattening, all avian species reared for laying or for breeding purposes, weaned piglets and minor porcine species (weaned) (holder of the authorisation Kaesler Nutrition GmbH).

    • Regulation (EU) No 2018/1076 dated 30 July, 2018 (Click Here) amending Regulation (EU) No 37/2010 to classify the substance isoflurane as regards its maximum residue limit.

    • Regulation (EU) No 2018/1081 dated 30 July, 2018 concerning the authorisation of the preparation of Bacillus subtilis C-3102 (DSM 15544) as a feed additive for pigs for fattening (holder of the authorisation Asahi Calpis Wellness Co. Ltd, represented by Asahi Calpis Wellness Co. Ltd Europe Representative Office).
