Dear Madam/Sir,
  1. The DGFT published Circular 11/2015-20 dated 23 July, 2018 (Click Here) granting Deemed Export Benefits for supplies to the projects funded by Organisations such as JICA etc. under para 8.2(d) of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14.

  2. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) published direction under Section 16 (5) Of Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 dated 23 July, 2018 (Click Here) regarding restriction on use of "Heme Iron" as a source of "Iron (Fe)".

  3. Ministry of Steel, India amends Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Order, 2018 vide S.O. No. 2999 (E) dated 20 July, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to addition of quality control for high carbon steel wire rods product under ITC (HS) 72139190 and 72139990.

  4. Cambodia Department of Drugs, Food, Medical Equipment and Cosmetics published Law on the amendment of the Law on Pharmaceutical Management dated 19 July, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to the production, import, export and trading of the traditional medicines.

  5. The South Africa Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries published Regulation No. R. 735 dated 20 July, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to registration of exporters, importers, processors, producers and purchasers of cotton. This statutory measure shall come into operation on the date of publication hereof and shall lapse on 31 March, 2022.

  6. The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) published Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code - Schedule 20 - Maximum residue limits Variation Instrument No. APVMA 4, 2018 dated 19 July, 2018 (Click Here). This code provides to vary Schedule 20 of the Food Standards Code to include or change MRLs pertaining to agricultural products.

  7. The Australian Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources published IFN 08-18 - Border controls for carbon monoxide treatment of tuna dated 20 July, 2018 (Click Here). The purpose of the publication is to recommend that importers and brokers conduct carbon monoxide treatment testing and analysis of border control measures for tuna. The new control measures are expected to begin in November 2018, and the exact implementation time will be confirmed in the coming months.

  8. South Korean Food and Drug Authority published Notice no. 2018-55 on 24 July, 2018 (Click Here) regarding regulations on exemption of medical device import requirements confirmation.

    • Regulation (EU) 2018/985 dated 18 July, 2018 (Click Here) supplementing Regulation (EU) No 167/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards environmental and propulsion unit performance requirements for agricultural and forestry vehicles and their engines and repealing Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/96.

    • Regulation (EU) 2018/1011 dated 18 July, 2018 (Click Here) authorising an extension of use levels of UV-treated mushrooms as a novel food under Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and amending Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/2470.

    • Regulation (EU) 2018/1023 dated 24 July, 2018 (Click Here) correcting Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/2470 establishing the Union list of novel foods.

    • Regulation (EU) 2018/1032 of 20 July, 2018 (Click Here) authorising the extension of use of oil from the micro algae Schizochytrium sp. as a novel food under Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 and amending Regulation (EU) 2017/2470.

    • Regulation (EU) 2018/1039 of 23 July, 2018 (Click Here) concerning the authorisation of Copper(II) diacetate monohydrate, Copper(II) carbonate dihydroxy monohydrate, Copper(II) chloride dihydrate, Copper(II) oxide, Copper(II) sulphate pentahydrate, Copper(II) chelate of amino acids hydrate, Copper(II) chelate of protein hydrolysates, Copper(II) chelate of glycine hydrate (solid) and Copper(II) chelate of glycine hydrate (liquid) as feed additives for all animal species and amending Regulations (EC) No 1334/2003, (EC) No 479/2006 and (EU) No 349/2010 and Implementing Regulations (EU) No 269/2012, (EU) No 1230/2014 and (EU) 2016/2261.

    • Regulation (EU) 2018/1043 (Click Here) and 2018/1019 (Click Here) of 24 July and 18 July, 2018 concerning the non-renewal of approval of the active substance fenamidone and oxasulfuron, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market.

    • Regulation (EU) 2018/1049 of 25 July, 2018 (Click Here) amending Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 regarding MRLs of Radish leaves.
