Dear Madam/Sir,
  1. As per Notification 18/2015-2020 dated 12 July, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT Vishakhapatnam port is being added to the list of 15 existing ports/ICDs, thereby taking the total number of ports/lCDs to 16, for importing new vehicles.

  2. As per Notification 19/2015-2020 dated 12 July, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT import of Oxytocin is ‘Prohibited’ under Chapter 29 & 30 of the ITC (HS) 2017.

  3. As per Public Notice 20/2015-20 dated 12 July, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT paragraph 2.79 of the Handbook of Procedures (HBP) of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2015-20 has been amended to widen the scope for issue of authorizations for repeat orders of SCOMET Items.

  4. As per Public Notice 22/2015-20 dated 13 July, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT MEIS benefit for ’’Bengal-Gram’’ under ITC (HS) code 07132020 available upto 20.06.2018 has been extended for exports upto 20.09.2018.

  5. As per Public Notice 23/2015-20 dated 13 July, 2018 (Click Here) issued by the DGFT the MEIS benefit for certain items has been enhanced for a certain period and some new items have been included in the MEIS Schedule, Appendix 3B.

  6. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) published guidance Note No.01/2018 entitled "Issue Of Formalin In Fish" dated 16 July, 2018 (Click Here).

  7. Department of Animal Husbandy, Dairing & Fisheries, India published F.No. 3-5/2012-AHT (NPBB) dated 5 July, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to guidelines for export/import of Bovine Germplasm (Revised July, 2018). The import and export of the cattle/ buffalo germplasrn is under the restricted list and is allowed against license(s) issued by the DGFT on the recommendation of the Department of Animal Husbandry dairying & Fisheries.

  8. The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, India published Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Fourth Amendment) Order, 2018 dated 16 July, 2018 (Click Here) related to the commodities with least phytosanitary risk which are processed.

  9. The Government of the People’’s Republic of Bangladesh issued amendment in importers, exporters and indentors (Registration) Order, 1981 dated 14 July, 2018 (Click Here).

  10. The Ministry of Public Health, Thailand published Notification No. 388, BE 2561 Re: Prescribing Foods forbidden to produce, import or distribute dated 13 July, 2018 (Click Here). This notification is related to prohibitions on the production, importation or distribution of Trans Fatty Acids from Partially Hydrogenated.

  11. The Department of Land Transport, Thailand has published Notification No. 135, Special Issue 166 dated 13 July, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to the volume and method of measuring the sound level of vehicles under the Motor Vehicle Law.

  12. Japan Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare published Eating out 0713 No. 2 dated 13 July, 2018 (Click Here) regarding revising a part of standards for foods, additives etc.

  13. The Australian Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (DAWR) published Circular IFN 07-18 - Food sampling under the Imported Food Inspection Scheme dated 18 July, 2018​ (Click Here) pertaning to all food importers whose food has been referred for inspection to check its safety and compliance with Australian food standards.

  14. Iran Food Drug Authority published List of approved inspection companies for overseas food and beverage factories dated 13 July, 2018 (Click Here).

  15. South Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety published Notice No. 2018-54 on 13 July, 2018 (Click Here) revising their food regulations, including numerous MRL changes.

  16. The South African Revenue Service (SARS) published GG.41770 (Notice R.714) dated 13 July, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to amendment to Part 1 of Schedule No. 1, by the substitution of tariff subheadings 1001.91 and 1001.99 as well as 1101.00.10 and 1101.00.90 to reduce the rate of customs duty on wheat and wheaten flour from 43,72c/kg and 65,59c/kg to 28,17c/kg and 42,26c/kg respectively, in terms of the existing variable tariff formula.

  17. Russian Customs published updated list of customs posts and structural units of customs authorities that confirm the actual exportation and importation of goods in accordance with the procedure for the actions of officials of customs authorities when confirming the actual export of goods on 11 July, 2018 (Click Here). In the Moscow region, individual customs authorities of Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo customs carry out the confirmation, as well as customs authorities located in the zone of the TSU: in Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, Tver and Yaroslavl customs. 

  18. Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 812 of 12 July, 2018 (Click Here) amended Resolution of 10.04.2006 No. 201 On the procedure for the formation and maintenance of a single register of certificates of conformity. According to amendments no of days reduced from 3 to 1 working days for transferring certificates of compliance by certification bodies Federal Service for Accreditation in electronic form via communication channels.

  19. Decree of the President of Russia No 420 published on 12 July, 2018 (Click Here) regarding food embargo against countries that have adopted anti-Russian sanctions has been extended till 31 December 2019.

  20. The Federal Commission for the Protection Against Sanitary Risk (COFEPRIS) of Mexico published amendment in ANNEX III - Colorants with an established ADI dated 12 July, 2018 (Click Here). This amendment is related to Curcumin used in Turmeric powder and Indian saffron for preparing flavored beverages non-alcoholic.

  21. The Official Mexican Standard NOM-015-ENER-2018 (Click Here) updates the mandatory energy efficiency standards, test procedures, sampling and labelling requirements of NOM-015-ENER-2012, which have been in place since 16 May 2012. The new standard applies to household refrigerators, household fridges-freezers of up to 1,104L and household freezers of up to 850L using a hermetic motor-compressor.
