  1. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) published Circular 08 dated 21 June, 2018 (Click Here) clarifying eligibility of Steamer Agents for benefits under Service Exports from India Scheme (SEIS).

  2. Ministry of Steel, India published Steel and Steel Products (Quality Control) Order, 2018 dated 20 June, 2018 (Click Here) pertaining to the list of steel products under mandatory Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification.

  3. Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, India on 27 June, 2018 has decided to extend the relaxation of fumigation regulations (Click Here) for import of agricultural commodities for which fumigation treatment with Methyl Bromide is stipulated in the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003 (PQ Order, 2003), till 31 December, 2018 on certain conditions.

    • Regulation No. R. 628 (Click Here) related to compulsory specification to the manufacture, production, processing and treatment of canned fish, canned fish products, canned marine molluscs, canned marine molluscs products, canned crustaceans and canned crustaceans products.

The Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (DAWR), Australia published Notice no. 63-2018 – Mandatory offshore treatment for consignments of used or aged oversize tyres dated 21 June, 2018 (Click Here). This notice is of interest to Australian importers, manufacturers, customs brokers and agents involved in the import of consignments of used oversize tyres into Australian territory.

  10. Japan Toy Association (JTA) published the national toy standard ST - 2016 (the 2nd edition) dated 15 June, 2018 (Click Here) for revised physical and mechanical properties of Toys. Implementation under ST Mark system of the revisions will be applied from 1 January, 2019.
