Japan - Revision to Regulation on Safety of Gas Containers and a notification of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) for High Pressure Gas Safety Act

Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has issued revision to Regulation on Safety of Gas Containers and a notification of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) for High Pressure Gas Safety Act.

Under High Pressure Gas Safety Act, the provisions of hydrogen‑fuelled fuel cell two-wheeled vehicle will be established in the aim of ensuring the safety and promoting to put it on the market.

Proposed date of adoption: Around May 2017

Proposed date of entry into force: Around May 2017

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
