Brazil - Proposed regulation proposing essential requirements to be complied by ceiling fans, domestically manufactured or imported

Ministry of Mines and Energy Resourceshas issued Ordinance No. 49, 13 February 2017 proposing essential requirements to be complied by ceiling fans, domestically manufactured or imported, to be traded or used in the country, and establishing the conformity assessment mechanism for minimum levels of energy efficiency verification characterized by the Supplier Statement with a focus on the Product performance and evidenced by the National Label of Energy Conservation – ENCE, through the Brazilian Labelling Program – PBE, carried out by Inmetro.
