New Zealand - Risk Management Proposal: Proposed amendment to the IHS 155.02.05: Seeds for sowing and requirements for the importation of Pisum seeds for sowing.

Proposed changes include:

1.       Migrating all approved seed treatments from the IHS 155.02.05: Seeds for sowing to the technical standard MPI-STD-ABTRT Approved Biosecurity Treatments; and

2.       Mandatory fumigation of all lots of pea seed imported into New Zealand with phosphine or methyl bromide according to the specifications listed in the technical standard MPI-STD-ABTRT Approved Biosecurity Treatments.

Proposed date of publication (dd/mm/yy): 18 April 2017

Final date for comments: [ ] Sixty days from the date of circulation of the notification and/or (dd/mm/yy): 13 April 2017
