This notified document specifies the safety requirements for bus construction.This document applies to vehicles of category M2 or M3, including the trolley bus.This document does not apply to the following vehicles: sleeper bus, school bus, special bus, and Off-road vehicles.Compared to the previous version, this version has added the construction requirements for light bus, double-deck bus and trolleybus; it also added the technical requirements on driver compartment protection and driver seat; modified the number and size of exits; revised the technical requirements on passenger door(s) and passageways.

Proposed date of adoption: 90 days after circulation by the WTO Secretariat

Proposed date of entry into force: 6 months after adoption

Final date for comments: 60 days after circulation by WTO Secretariat
