Thailand - Regulation prescribing description, production and method of displaying of standard marks on the industrial products

Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), Ministry of Industry issued Regulation Prescribing Description of Standard Marks Displaying on the Industrial Products, B.E. 2549 (2006); (2) Ministerial Regulation Prescribing Criteria and Method of Displaying a Standard Mark on the Industrial Product, B.E. 2550 (2007).

The regulation prescribes the requirements relating to:

1. The description of standard marks displaying on the industrial products in accordance with Section 16 and Section 20 and 21 of the Industrial Product Standards Act B.E. 2551 (1968)
2. A licensee under Section 16 and Section 20 and 21, as the case may be, shall be responsible for producing a standard mark.
3. A standard mark shall be displayed clearly visible, prominently and indelible on industrial products or also on their packaging, bundle, wrapper or parcel.
4. Upon displaying a standard mark , the followings shall be presented:

• Industrial product standard number permitted and related electronic information beneath or at the side of the standard mark.
• Licensee's full name or abbreviation or registered trade mark in proximity to the standard mark.
