Chile establishes import requirements for dried fruits Agricultural and Livestock Service establishes the following import requirements: - The shipment must be covered by an Official Phytosanitary Certificate issued by the phytosanitary authority of the country of origin it indicates, containing the following additional declarations:
- Origin Peru: the shipment is free of Ferrisia malvastra, Ferrisia virgata and Nipaecoccus nipae.
- Origin Argentina: the shipment is free of Ferrisia malvastra, Ferrisia virgata Nipaecoccus nipae, Planococccus ficus, Lobesia botrana.
- The shipment must come free of soil.
- The fruits must come free of leaves, flowers and plant remains.
- The shipment must come in new packaging of first use and labeled or labeled according to current regulations.
- The shipment must be stored and transported, duly protected and officially sealed, in order to maintain its phytosanitary certification status.
- Each consignment will be inspected by the Service, at the entry point for the physical and documentary verification of the phytosanitary requirements established for its import.
- Packaging wood, pallets and wood used as accommodation material, will have to comply with the "Guidelines for Regulating Wood Packaging Used in International Trade" (ISPM 15).
- The detection of a live quarantine pest, other than those regulated in this Resolution, will be grounds for rejection of the shipment or, if the application of a measure is technically and operationally feasible, elimination of the cause of rejection or re-export.
