Vietnam proposes national technical regulation on electrical equipment for household electrical installations and similar installations

Ministry of Science and Technology proposes technical regulation specifies safety requirements and management requirements for electrical equipment specified in Annex 1 and Annex 2 of this draft Technical Regulation.

Explosion-proof electrical equipment is not within the scope of this technical regulation.

This draft technical regulation applies to organizations and individuals that produce, import and trade electrical equipment on the list of electrical equipment and state management agencies and other related organizations and individuals

Proposed date of adoption: 30 June 2020

Proposed date of entry into force:For electrical wires and cables: from 01 January 2021
For other equipment: from 01 June 2021

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
