South Korea proposes to revise of safety verification criteria for Electric personal mobility device

Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) proposes following changes;

1. Adding marking requirements on precautions when replacing battery
2. Removing safety requirements of battery from the current technical regulation and managing it according to "KC 62133-2 technical regulation" (Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolyte-Safety requirements for portable sealed secondary cells, and for batteries made from them, for use in portable application-Part2: Lithium systems)

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
