Thailand imposes a temporary ban on importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Hungary

Department of livestock development (DLD) following the reported outbreak of Avian Influenza (HPAI) ) in Komarom - Esztergom county (Serotype H5N8) in the Hungary, has imposed a temporary ban on importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Hungary. This was necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of AI disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Komarom - Esztergom county, Hungary is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (5 February 2020).
