Czech Republic amending act on certain measures related to the prohibition of chemical weapons

State Office for Nuclear Safety proposes amendment to Act No 19/1997 comprises, in particular:

• amended definitions of legal terms and overall terminological changes,
• a conceptual broadening of the prohibition of certain types of handling to cover broader categories of substances, in accordance with the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction,
• legislative and technical amendments in response to the latest developments in law-making, new provisions regarding administrative sanctioning.
