EU proposing amendment to regulation of active biocidal products to ensure that substances or products having endocrine disruptors' properties are correctly identified

European Commission amends several information requirements of Annexes II and III to Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 (the biocidal products regulation - BPR) to ensure that substances or products having endocrine disruptors' properties are correctly identified. In addition, the draft includes new provisions reflecting the current state of science, in particular for test methods ensuring a better protection of human and animal health or reducing the number of tests on animals. All the other provisions set out in the Annexes II and III of the EU Biocidal Products Regulation remain applicable.
