India proposes amendments in Plant Quarantine regulations Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India proposes amendments to Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (First Amendment) Order, 2020 seeks to further liberalize provisions governing import of Hordeum spp. (Barley), Pome fruits (Apple, Pear and Quince), Stone fruits (Plum, Peach, Cherry, Apricot, Almond, Nectarne (Prunus spp.), Grapes (Vitis vinifera) and Apple (Malus domestica) under Schedule VI of the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003. This notification will further allow import of plants and plant materials into India.
