Republic of Korea - Draft revision for Supplier Conformation Criteria for Furniture for Children

Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) has published draft revision for Supplier Conformation criteria for Furniture for Children notice has been revised as follows:

• In order to reduce injuries to children from hazards associated with the tipping over of drawers, the safety specification of stability is added

According to the Supplier Conformation System, manufacturers or importers should indicate labelling of safety or quality if their products are subject to the Supplier Conformation Mark.

Proposed date of adoption: January 2017 or later

Proposed date of entry into force: January 2017 or later

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
