Chile – Draft standards for the draft prevention and atmospheric decontamination plan for the Santiago metropolitan region

Ministerio del Medio Ambiente (Ministry of the Environment) has published draft standards for the draft prevention and atmospheric decontamination plan for the Santiago metropolitan region.The draft prevention and atmospheric decontamination plan for the Santiago metropolitan region contains proposed emission standards for certain types of pollutants, including an emission standard for particulate matter for stationary sources; an emission standard for sulphur dioxide; an emission standard for generating sets; and an emission standard for non-road machinery. The text contains proposed requirements to be met by fuel that is distributed or sold in the Santiago metropolitan region.

Final date for comments: 60 days from the date of notification.
