Turkey - Safety of Toys Implementing Regulation

Ministry of Customs and Trade, DG Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance has published Safety of Toys Implementing Regulation. The Regulation lays down the safety criteria for general and particular risks that toys must meet before they placed on the market.

This Regulation is harmonised with EU Directive 2009/48/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 June 2009 on the safety of toys.

Regulation covers product types being marketed especially to the most sensitive/critical consumer type: children/baby.

Proposed date of adoption: Published at the Official Gazette no. 29847 and dated 4 October 2016

Proposed date of entry into force: 4 April 2017

Final date for comments: 30 days from notification. Comments could be reflected to the updates of the Regulation.
